I fell in love with this place before i got into the door!! It was sooo cozy and I saw some very unique gift ideas.... If your on a budget there was an adorable "free" wagon outside. Overall I think that Gems Gems is a perfect place to take anyones lil princess or pirates or cowboys or whoever your little one want to become, they will totally love it!
Pros: It is attached to a very cute strip mall w/ some great stores.....

GEMS GEMS Books for Kids is a non-profit organization dedicating to putting books into the hands of El Paso area children. GEMS GEMS (Grace Elizabeth Madriles - Great Educational Materials) started in memory of Grace Madriles, a 16 year old Coronado High student who died in a car accident in Sept. of 2002. GEMS GEMS has given away over 182,000 new and used children's books to teachers, day care centers, and agencies working with children in the El Paso area. New books are donated through First Book, National Book Bank and from publishers including Scholastic, Pearson Books, and Red Brick. Individuals and businesses also donate used and new children's books. GEMS GEMS Children's Bookstore is located in Placita Santa Fe, on Doniphan near Mesa. Proceeds from the retail bookstore help support the mission of GEMS GEMS. The bookstore carries quality children's literature as well as puppets and educational materials. GEMS GEMS is doing a great job improving children's literacy in El Paso.
