After suffering with back pain for many months, I came to Spine & Rehab Specialists. I was taught exercises to strengthen my back muscles. After completing my session, I continue to feel good and rarely think about my back where the pain used to be.
I was referred to Spine and Rehab in November 2012 after injuring my ankle during the summer. I was running off road while on vacation and turned my ankle. At first I hoped it would heal by itself, but after a couple of months with no running and a failed attempt to start again, I decided to see the doctor and requested a referral for physical therapy. I made an appointment with Spine and Rehab Specialists and was seen by Nancy. She told me I had probably damaged the tendon in my ankle and also had a limited range of motion in my ankle due to a tight calf muscle. After two months of physical therapy, the pain in my ankle was gone and I had increased the mobility of my ankle. I have learned what exercises will help my ankle and how to keep working on improving the range of motion. When I started physical therapy I told Nancy that I planned training schedule so I altered my plans slightly and was able to complete my training without further injury to my ankle. Thanks to Nancy and everyone at Spine and Rehab Specialists I was able to complete the marathon. I had a great race, ran the whole way, and finished in 4 hours and 6 minutes (faster than I expected!!!)
When I started physical therepy I had pain in the front of my shoulder. Claudia worked with me and gave exercises to do that would help get stronger. When I first started out, the exercises were a little tough but it helped my shoulder. I went for 20 visits and by the time I was done, I had no more pain in my shoulder and I could pick up my little man without any pain. The staff was amazing and when I was doing an exercise wrong they would show me what I was doing wrong and they helped me do better. I loved my time here and I would recommend Spine and Rehab Specialists to everyone! Thank you, everyone, for making my experience great!
I would like to express my greatest gratitude and whole hearted appreciation to the wonderful, caring staff here at the Spine & Rehab Specialist. Your caring and nurturing have really given me mental and physical strength to recover and smile again. You guys will forever be in my hearts. I never could have done this without you. With many thanks and big hugs
The cervical portion of my therapy was a 100% success. I have not had any headaches or stiffness since receiving my treatment here at the Spine and Rehab Specialist. My range of motion is also better. My lower back is still giving me some problems, but I do feel that the staff here has made some improvements and did a wonderful job showing me the necessary stretches that will make it better. This therapy was great and I feel that this will help me with my job and to continue doing the things I enjoy, I feel so much better now then when I strated.
It is a pleasure to report that the second time around was as helpful as the first. This time was a little different as I had spine surgery and this time we worked on helping to reduce the pain and to get me in the habit of moving correctly when exercising and just during my daily routine. Eric Trujillo was my Physical Therapist and he worked with me as needed and then over saw the assigned staff as they worked with me on the exercises. I have to say with no hesitaion that everyone from the front desk personnel to everyone in the exercise are - are all very professional, they know their jobs and they will help you! Like my visit six months earlier, the place is cleaned between each patient, sitting and lying areas are wiped with a new disinfectant cloth after each use, pillow cases are replaced between each person's use. This to me is why I requested to have my rehab done here. You see the professionalism and you feel the difference when you are done. The folks here know what to do to make you better. I sincerely appreciate how I was treated and what was done for me, by every member of the Spine & Rehab Specialists team. Thank each and every one of you.
I hurt my left hamstring back in August 2012, and since I am in ballet I could not stop and rest my leg until February 2013. I was still in a lot of pain so I went to the doctor. After two x-rays, an MRI, and a bone scan they could not diagnose what was wrong with my hamstring. Finally, my doctor sent me to physical therapy. Luckily I knew Ms. Brittany, who suggested I come to Spine and Rehab Specialists for therapy. I am so glad I did! My therapist of Mr. JT Killings. After two months, my hamstring is a lot better and I am able to dance ballat again with no pain! I honestly do not think I would have had the same result if I had gone anywhere else. All the people who work at Spine and Rehab Specialists were extremely helpful and really nice. The environment that they have created is very welcoming, and I highly recommend this place if you ever need physical therapy.
I was blessed with flat feet and under discouragement from my podiatrist, I joined the US Army. I love the Army but the continuous running and ruck marching created severe foot pain & heel spurs. It had come to the point where I could barely make it trhought a full work day. Luckily, the Army podiatrist prescribed custom orthotics and physical therapy to strengthen my feet and ankles. He prescribed this because I was losing range of motion in my Achilies tendon. My feet are so flat when I run I tend to pound the ground so hard pain riochets through my whole body with pain. I began coming to Spine & Rehab October 10th, 2012 with Nancy Silva as my therapist. She was the perfect Therapist for me. She pushed me when I need to and truly helped strenthen not just my feet and ankles but my knees and hips as well. The days that I was swollen from work and running she would ice and work out my feet so that the swelling would go down and I could actually sleep at night without foot pain. I always had a great time coming to physical therapy; Monica at the front desk always greeted me with a smile and made sure my appointments met with my crazy schedule. Even when I had a bad day or was sore or had pain the physical therapy techs were conversational, personable and managed to put a smile on my face (which is a difficult task after work). They each have their own personalities which kept it interesting and fun. My awesome Techs were Oscar E., Oscar A., Steven, Patrick and Joey. Even if they were not working with me they still acknowledged my presense and I felt comfortable and important. January 14th, 2013 I graduated! I feel stronger and better than I have in a long time! My heel pain is completely gone. I ran again and my running style had changed, I was not pounding my feet any longer and my feet and ankles felt great! I was shocked! Not only did I gain strength, I also received tools to continue taking care of myself so I can continue taking care of myself so I can continue doing what I love; which is being a soldier in the US Army. Thanks Spine & Rehab - Edgemere Team!
