Okay food - HORRIBLE customer service!.
This restaurant has decent food but HORRIBLE customer service. The owner, who is also the cook, is arrogant and has no idea how to treat his customers with respect or appreciation.
Since this place is one of the few restaurants in Horizon and within distance for the Clint ISD employees to eat for lunch - he takes advantage of the fact.
On one occassion, we ordered some burgers and fries for pickup. Once we were ready to bite into the juicy meal, we were disappointed to discover that both the beef patties and fries were undercooked. When we took the time to call to complain - he ranted about how he was moving his business to the West side because Horizon people complained too much! ???? Not once did he apologize, only offering to replace the food if we went to pick it up (not a perfect opotion since our lunch hour had passed and so had our hunger!).
Another time we ordered their 20 pc. wings and fries. The fries AGAIN were undercooked. When I called to complain this time (because the fries were completely unedible and my tummy was left rumbling), he arrogantly promised to replace the meal at another time explaining that fries were difficult to cook and he could easily have made a mistake. Again, never apologized.
When I did call to take him up on the offer of the free meal - he ranted about how he shouldn't replace the wings because only the fries had been undercooked, but he would stick to his PROMISE.
What? Someone please teach this guy how to treat his patrons! It is unreal how he deals with his customers. Instead of showing gratitude and love for his patrons, he walks around like he is doing us the favor.
And since he HASN'T moved his restaurant to the West side (haha), he continues to be one of the few restaurants still operating and even though his business is NOT BOOMING - he continues to get a steady flow of customers.
Be warned! If you go to Cebolla Loca you have a 50-50 chance of getting good food and if for some reason you don't like the food, you have 100% chance of getting crappy service, take my word for it!
