The drinks are great and reasonably priced. The food is very tasteful, and seasoned just right. I enjoyed the nice music in the background, and the adult atmosphere. This is a place that I will frequent often.
Thyme to go to Thyme!!. Thyme Matters has by far the best patio in El Paso. Excellent mudled drinks!!
Great atmosphere & excellent food. I have utilized Thyme Matters on many different levels; personal dining, large parties & for catering. I have been exceptionally pleased with the service & quality that is put into each venue. The prices are reasonable for such a unique menu- there is something for everybody. The atmosphere is trendy with great music, that allows for both casual & more elegant dining. I would reccommend Thyme Matters to anybody wishing to have an outstanding meal. Definitely one of the best in El Paso.
BAD SERVICE. THAT THE SERVICE WAS REALY BAD, THE RESTAURANT IS NOT THAT NICE...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................FRANKIE BVAR.
Better Than Good.
A friend had recommended "Thyme Matters" as a nice dining experience. When looking up the address, my wife and I noted the negative review posted in Citysearch last March of this year (2008). We were somewhat apprehensive after reading the negative review, but said "what the heck, lets give it a go."
Can't say enough good things about our meal. The waiter (Jorge) was very attentive and polite. The calamari as an appetizer, with a really delicious dipping sauce, set the stage for the corn roasted soup with chipotle. I expected a heavier dish and was pleasantly surprised when presented with a very delicate tasting soup.
I had the french dip prime rib sandwich which was very very good and my wife had the andouie and chicken pasta with cream sauce. She commented that it was very good.
We vreally enjoyed the atmosphere, lots of light and simple but elegant setting. We thought the price very reasonable. About $45 for the two opening dishes and two entrees, and around $20 for three glasses of wine.
I am not sure the lady who wrote the March 2008 review was in the same restaurant that we dined in during December of 2008.
We intend to be regulars.
LAZY SERVICE, TASTELESS FOOD. THIS IS MY SECOND TIME AT TYME MATTERS, THAT THE SERVICE WAS REALY BAD, THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT EVEN FULL, THERE WAS LIKE ELEVEN PEOPLE DINNING........... THE WAITER, WAS DEAF AND INVISIBLE, WE ASK FOR BREAD, AND THE BREAD ARRIVED AFTER WE FINISH, MY FRIEND ORDER HER STEAK WELL DONE AND IT WAS MADE MEDIUM RARE, THE COFFE WAS COLD THEY NEVER REFILL OUR DRINKS, WE HAVE TO ASK FOR IT, THE SOUP CORN AND POBLANO, WAS AWFUL, THE CHEF IS AFRAID TO USE SALT, IT HAS NO TASTE, MY LINGUINNI WITH SWEET BASIL, NEEDED SALT TOO......... WHEN I MADE THE RESERVATION, I TOLD ALEJANDRA THE GIRL HOW ANSWER ME PLEASE MAKE SURE WE HAVE A GOOD WAITER, BECAUSE WE ALREADY HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS, WERE ARE GOING BACK BECAUSE THE BIRTHDAY BOY WANTED TO GO THERE, I TOLD MY FRIEND PLEASE PICK UP ANOTHER RESTAURANT THIS HAS A LAZY SUPER LAZY SERVICE, BUT HE SAID HE WANTED TO GO BECAUSE HE WANTED TO KNOW THE PLACE. I HOPE SHE PAYS ATTENTION TO THIS, BECAUSE THIS WAS ON A FRIDAY NIGHT AND WE WERE ONLY ELEVEN PEOPLE, I KNOW WHY, IF YOU LIKE BAD SERVICE AND TASTELESS FOOD, THIS IS YOUR PLACE........ THANK YOU
