Whiskey Dics. This place ISN'T country. They couldn't spell it. The Stagecoach on Dyer St has a live band Fri & Sat nites. THEY ARE COUNTRY...How many times can W D bring back Johnny Lee???? This is a lame joint.

Whiskey Dicks. It is NOT the only country/western bar in town. In fact the ONLY country bar with a LIVE BAND every weekend is the Texas Stage Coach on Dyer.

Mediocre, just like the rest of El Paso. Well in a town with only one country bar and one country station, that never plays country music, it is what I expected! It was only as good as the singer on the stage. I went there for Kevin Fowler twice, David Allan Coe and Johnny Lee. Great times but forgettable bar. In my three years in El Paso I rarely saw anything that wasn't forgettable and this bar was no different. The lines were long and the bars not very functional the prices were fair and I bought my tickets in advance so that was too easy. Service was quite friendly so no complaints there and there was ample parking space. In closing when I go to a country bar, I expect country music, cold beer, country folks and good times. The only thing I saw at this one was Cold Beer. I'm from the real part of Texas where we dance with women and not in a line. Whiskey Dicks: only as good as the talent on stage. Once the band runs home it's just another bar that claims country to attract a certain crowd. Avoid it if you like real, hard nosed, cowboy hat wearing, dancin with women country. All others have a great time.

Don't listen to those crappy reviews. I read the reviews posted on january 20, 2010 and i have to say that both reviews are riddled with outlandish allegations of bad service. i've been going to whiskeydicks for over a year, regulary every week, and have never had a problem with the security staff or the service. the cover charge is better than most clubs on the eastside of town, and you pay what you would expect to pay for a drink. 2.50 for a beer after happy hour is what everyone else charges too. You get the music you want at a descent, wallet friendly, cost. As far as getting thrown out, i have seen people get "ejected" from the club but not without them deserving it. of course there are those that say they were wrongly "bounced" but naturally, every time something happens to someone its never their fault as far as they're concerned. Give whiskeydicks a try, me and my friends never miss a weekend out there or a concert.

BTW: the location isnt in horizon, its on George Deiter now.

HORRIBLE BAR RUN BY JERKS. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY AT THIS CRAPPY BAR



I went to see a concert at this bar and most of the people working there were unbelievably rude and on a zealous ego trip. It was the first time I had ever been to this bar and the LAST TIME I will ever go. BEWARE!!! There are much better bars in El Paso to hang out in. The drinks are overpriced with BAD SERVICE, it takes forever to even get a drink and the bouncers seem to really enjoy harassing their customers.



Just before the main band came on stage, a bouncer came over to my friend and asked to speak to her outside. We had both had a beer and a shot and I had just come back to the table with another beer for us both. The bouncer took my friend outside and said he saw her stumble and that she was cut off for the night. A little while later he and another guy came to the table and said she had to leave, she was drunk and he was going to call the cops if she didn't leave. I tried to speak to the manager and see if there was anything I could do, especially since we had PAID to see this band but NO ONE was cooperative.



This bouncer then proceeded to stalk us the rest of the night and was determined to keep my friend outside even though she was NOT drunk. I tried my best to get them to let her stay inside to at least hear the band but they just kept saying they were going to call the cops if she didn't leave. This was THE WORST experience I've ever had at a bar and we weren't even drunk!

Awful Bar!!. Last night was my first and last time at Whiskey Dicks! The drinks were over priced and the service was very poor. I paid $20 to see a band. Before the band got on stage a friend and I were working on our first beers for the evening when I was approached and asked to leave. The man accused me of going behind the bar when I had not even left our table! I tried to explain this to him but he insisted I leave and threatened to call the police. He was very insistent that I had too much to drink and he had warned me when I supposedly went behind the bar. I have never been treated so poorly!
