Good Professional Salon

I was reading other reviews and the two bad ones must have been from people who have never been to a professional salon (supercuts is not a professional salon, it's a chop-shop) Up until I began moving around I had been going to a stylist who was taught by a member of the Cosmotology Board, the guys who set the standard. This gal was pro to the teeth! I have since been struggling to find a good salon in the area that was reasonably priced and Avida was just that. Lex did a great job on my hair, she was also able to evaluate what had been done to my hair last time. She talked with me about my needs in a haircut and my goals with my hair and she worked with my hair's texture to create a wonderfully sleek bob that even when I didn't blowdry it looked fantastic. I haven't been to the Lee Trevino location, but the Basset place one was just fine for my hair cut needs.

• Pros: Very professional, a name I trust in salon products
• Cons: The Basset Center location only has a few of the many services they provide

WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT.....HELL NO !!!

I WENT THERE HOPING TO GET THE "VICTORIA BECKHAM " HAIRCUT. WELL IT LOOKED MORE LIKE DAVID BECKHAM BY THE TIME THEY WERE DONE. I HARDLY HAD ANY HAIR LEFT. THE GIRL KEPT CUTTING AND CUTTING FROM THE BACK SUPPOSIVELY TAPERING IT. I LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE JUST RAN A LAWNMOWER THROUGH THE BACK OF MY HEAD. I HAD TO ASK THE GIRL TO STOP. i TOLD HER THIS IS WAS CLEARLY NOT WHAT I HAD ASKED FOR SINCE I HAD SHOWED HER A PICTURE UPON ARRIVAL. THERE WAS NO WAY I WAS GONNA PAY FOR SOMETHING I DIDN'T ASK FOR. I SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER AS WELL AND LET HIM KNOW. HE SAID I COULDN'T LEAVE WITHOUT PAYING AND I TOLD HIM"WATCH ME". HE THREATENED TO CALL SECURITY SO I TOLD HIM TO GO AHEAD AND ALSO LET HIM KNOW WHAT AREA I HAD PARKED AT SO THEY COULD FIND ME IF THEY HAD A PROBLEM. SURE ENOUGH AS I WAS PUTTING MY DAUGHTER BACK IN HER SEAT, SECURITY CAME. THEY STATED" I UNDERSTAND YOU DIDN'T PAY FOR SOME SERVICES"? I REPLIED, "WHAT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IS THAT THESE MOTHER *UCKERS *UCKED UP MY HAIR AND IF THIS LOOKED LIKE A HAIRCUT TO YOU THEN YOU PAY THEM". I GOT IN MY TRUCK AND DROVE OFF. NEVER,NEVER WILL I GO BACK THERE AGAIN !!!!

I have been a customer of Avida Salon for many years. Every time I need a boost of energy or confidence I make an appointment and get pampered like I've never been pampered before. I can't say much for the Bassett Place location because I've only had my eye brows waxed at that location, but the Lee Trevino location is FABULOUS!!! Angie is by far the best when it comes to manicures and pedicures. Jeannette is the BEST stylist to ever touch my hair. I go in there and just let her do her thing. I only have to tell her that I'm a mother of two, I'm not allowed to get too funky with the coloring because of my job, and I'm lazy when it comes to doing my hair. She's never failed me and every time I come home from the salon everyone is amazed at how wonderful my hair looks. The massages are out of this world and the facials just make you feel like a princess.

I had a full package done for my wedding. The whole day was just the ticket to ease my nerves. Everyone at the salon was pleasant and supportive. I was there ALL day almost getting everything done and we just talked and laughed the entire time. I looked like a dream when I left and felt like a million bucks(and didn't have to spend a ridiculous amount of money to feel that way!)

The salon staff make everyone feel at home including my husband who also goes there to get pampered with massages and other fabulous treatments.

I would HIGHLY recommend this salon to anyone in need of some pampering. Just make your appointment, walk through those doors, and enjoy the fun loving staff that help you look and feel your best!
