Jardines Arco Iris is a wonderful place to hold a wedding, quinceneara, etc. My guests were impressed and amazed by the things that took place at this hall. My only complaint is that Ms. Alderete is not very good at keeping records. If you decide to go with this hall, beware to make sure you keep every single reciept, every single change is notated and that you get a copy of your contract. (She never seemed to have ink in her printer every time we went in. We always took picture of the changes made reciepts given with our cell phone.) As we got near the date of our event it seemed like Ms. Alderete was less willing to work for us as she was in getting us booked. Again, my daughters party was awesome, Ms. Alderete does a really nice job in decorations and everyone had a good time. Just keep tabs on your contract, pricing, etc. I too would have planned smarter.
Not so happy experience.
I always knew I wanted an outdoor wedding and fell in love with Jardines Arco Iris by viewing the website and the garden grounds. Our first meeting the Mrs. Alderete and her staff went wonderfully. We discussed different package options, meal plans, flowers, etc. She seemed to really care about us as clients so we booked the place for our wedding.
Our subsequent meetings with her and her staff were not as lovely. The prices she initially promised us during our first meeting for food dramatically increased each time we met with her. We were initially told we could bring our own liquor and beer and that changed to us having to buy the alcohol through her only. Prices also changed for center pieces and flower options. I learned that I had to write EVERYTHING down (every price, every detail from amount of flowers on the centerpiece from amount of cups provided at the bar) so that she could not change the details at our next meeting. This seemed to work.
The place has its own caterer and you?ll get to have one free tasting. The food is okay, but I?ve had better at weddings done at hotels or other outdoor venues. My husband and I went through 2 tastings (we paid $50 for the second tasting) and we decided we didn?t love the food. When we told her that we no longer wanted her caterer for the wedding, she got really upset. She told us, ?Well you know I don?t HAVE to let you bring your own caterer.? We told her that our contract allows us the option of bringing our own caterer and she replied, ?Well you know I can always change the rules, right? Check your contract.? Sure enough in the 10 page contract there is one sentence in smaller font than the rest that says the Jardines venue has the right to change the rules to the contract at any time. Why have a contract then, right?
The wedding day was no less stressful than the days spent planning with her. My reception started at 6 pm. When my guests arrived she refused to open the gate because she said the event started at 7. My maid of honor had her check the contract which specifically stated the event started at 6, and then she opened the gates. The garden was not ready by the time guests arrived ? the center pieces had not been put up, the cake had not arrived and the DJ was barely setting up. For the dance, we had ordered a chocolate fountain which she forgot to set up and had to be reminded to do so.
If you decide to book with Jardines just be prepared! Read the contract, ask tons of questions, write everything down and date the note, and be firm when you need to be. The day of your event, have the contract, event details and a time line handy so if something is missing you can call her on it.
My guests had a good time at the wedding and we received so many compliments on the venue. It really is a lovely place and looks really pretty at night. Looking back on the whole experience, I would have just planned smarter.

The decoration of the place, flowers, cake, food, lights, Red Carpet, Fireworks everything.
Mrs. Alderete was very professional and very helpful with every single detail that concerned our wedding.

AMAZING!!!!!!. I just wanna say that we were very satisfied with Jardines Arcoiris & Mrs. Alderete! Evertything was so perfect...! OMG her staff was AMAZING!!! My family and friends loved the place, everybody kept asking: "How did you find this place." The food was great, the DJ was awsome, my flowers were beautiful! Overall, we had an AMAZING time, we were very satisfied with the Alderete Family & Jardines Arcoiris!!!
Very Satisfied!!!. Jardines Arco Iris was the only contractor that didn't make a mistake!!! Everything they said they provided. They stuck to their word. It was very disappointing that all our other contractors (not affiliated with Jardines) made atleast one mistake but thank God Yolanda and her staff didn't. Yesika (from Jardines) also added some pretty blue orchids to our cake because the lady who made our cake made a mistake by only putting orange and yellow flowers. It was a small gesture that made a big difference. Overall, we were very pleased and got many compliments from the guests on the venue. We even got a beautiful rainbow on our wedding day at Jardines arco iris =)
Beautiful Place, Horrible Experience. When I first saw the place, I fell in love with it. It really is beautiful. A perfect outdoor wedding especially if you live in El Paso with the beautiful nights. But I must say, the lady who we made all the arrangements and dealt with was not quite what we expected. The service and arrangements were not all that great. Definataly over priced for the quality. We also got the 5k package (which they have some that go up to 15K) and it seems it too was at the bottom of her list. The beverages were hot. The beer keg we got from her was very hot and guests were complaining. When I asked if I could bring outside beer (cold), she said no, that that was not in our "contract". We had other issues with the DJ setting and deposit. Every single little thing you want keeps adding to your tab, a bit unecessary. If you do decide to rent this place, best be on your toes and be specific on what you want and expect. On the other hand, this place looks beautiful at night with all the lights on. It would be better if there wasnt a mobile home in the back of the place.
FUTURE CUSTOMERS, BRIDES-TO-BE, MOTHERS-TO-BE, AND SPECIAL EVENT COORDINATORS: BE IMPECABLE ABOUT REVIEWING ALL DETAILS ABOUT YOUR PROPOSED EVENT. REQUEST A DETAILED ITEMIZED CONTRACT WITH DATES AND AMOUNTS FOR EACH ITEM REQUESTED, PENDING, PAID, AND ALTERED.
BECAUSE MY EVENT WAS ON THE LOWER-END OF MRS. ALDERETE'S EVENTS ($2-4K), NOT MUCH ATTENTION BY THE OWNER WAS PUT INTO THE FINAL DETAILS.
REQUEST IN WRITING THAT AN ALTERNATE VENDOR BE PROVIDED AT THE CUSTOMERS OWN EXPENSE AND WITHOUT PENALTY, SHOULD YOU NOT BE SATISFIED WITH THE OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO YOU.
MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO TASTE FOOD AND BEVERAGES FROM SUPPLIERS/VENDORS AHEAD OF TIME AND HAVE ALL FINALIZED CHOICES IN WRITING PRIOR TO CLOSING AND PAYING OFF BALANCE.
I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED I WAS NOT ONLY AS THE HOST BUT AS A PAYING CUSTOMER.
MRS. ALDERETE FAILED TO PROVIDE DETAILS ON TIMING AND QUANTITY TO MY AGREED UPON VENDORS AFTER SEVERAL REQUESTS AND ATTEMPTS TO CLARIFY ITINARARY.
AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE INDIVIDUAL ENTITIES, IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THE INFORMATION ON THE SIGNED CONTRACT WAS NOT THE INFORMATION RELAYED TO THEM BY MRS. ALDERETE.
VENDORS WERE LATE, ITEMS PAID FOR IN ADVANCE WERE ARGUABLY TAKEN BACK BY THE VENDORS PROVIDING THE SERVICE(S) UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MRS. ALDERETE. COORDINATION OF COLOR SCHEME WAS NOT WHAT WAS ON THE FINAL CONTRACT, CENTER PIECES AND FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS WERE THOSE USED FROM THE EVENT OF THE NIGHT BEFORE, BEVERAGES WERE LIMITED, FLAT, AND HOT...I COULD GO ON, BUT I THINK YOU GET THE IDEA!!
ALTHOUGH THE VENUE IS ONE TO AWE ABOUT, I MUST ADMIT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE!!

THE BEST!!!. My husband and I always dreamed about having our wedding in an outside doors hall. After looking and looking around the area we found Jardines Arcoiris . Since the first time we saw the place we loved it!!! Real greenish, clean, neat , peaceful, everything we wanted for our special day. I called the owners and they were really attentive and available upon request. They helped us planning the wedding in every possible way, they were always very charismatic. They have tons and tons of options for you to pick up from, since butterfly show to big orchestras. This hall is owned by a wonderful couple, and that made our wedding easy because they know about those details- they were really openly at the time that my boyfriend and I took our families to check out the place, they turned on the beautiful lights they have at night, the atmosphere is great. I will strongly recommend this place to those couples looking for a beautiful, accessible and reliable place to host their wedding. We got married May 24 and the experience we had was phenomenal, they were there trying to always make everything look so perfect and relaxed. The facilities are awesome, full of space for your guests. All that we can say is that they have everything you need to make that day as memorable as it should be.
