Red Lobster

My family and I have been regular customers to tis Red Lobster. Regardless of the reason or occassion, we always went here. I took clients, friends, family, even went alone, in order to enjoy what had been great food.

Sadly, that all ended this past May 2012. After taking my mother and sons to a venue, we decided to pick a place for dinner. Our decision, which we all greatly regret, was Red Lobster by Cielo Vista Mall. The food looked horrid! The mashed potatoes were gray... GRAY! I'd never seen such a thing! My steak was over cooked, the lobster was tough. Repeat this 5 times and include the to go order I'd placed when we first sat down, and you have 5 very disappointed people.

Well, I assumed this would be handled once I made it known that the food was far below par. I told the waitress, within 3 minutes of being served, that the food was over cooked and looked and tasted sour/old. She replied, "Oh I'm sorry." I asked her if we could cancel the order to go and she said, "It's already being fired, sorry."

Waste of food! Waste of money! And most of all, this should have been a momentous and joyous celebration for something we'd waited 20 years for which was my husband, children and myself taking the last name of my deceased father in law.

I ALSO sent an email, and phone calls, to the Red Lobster corporate office. No one has cared enough to even call and say "I apologize for your horrible experience."

In this economy, every customer counts. And Red Lobster has now lost 5 regular customers and their guests, forever.

I will never go there again!

On the up side! I found a GREAT Mexican restuarant named "Burrito House" on Dyer, across from the Big 8 store. It's a nice hole in the wall with GREAT service, GREAT food and the prices are very low!
