Best Salon on the westside!

So I have lived here going on a year and a half and went from salon to salon and seems like everywhere i went didnt understand what i wanted or didnt put there thought into it if i asked for something crazy..they would just do whatever i said not caring or warning me if it wouldnt come out like i expected! WELLL I made an appt with Dale who is so very awesome! I got a hair cut, highlights and lowlight and he was able to do what i wanted and then some and it all came out perfect! He is a great listener and will let you know if what you want wont come out as good as a picture and thats great because after all they are the ones with the education in hair so i def trusted him and left my hair in his hands and I got so many compiments afterwards! SOOO SOO happy ( Im very picky when it comes to my hair) I will def have dale as my main stylist from now on! =)

Best in El Paso

The previous posters made unfair generalizations. If they had a negative experience with one stylist, that is unfortunate; however, to say that all of the stylists are bad is truly unfair. I have been seeing Dale every 5 weeks for about a year and he is wonderful. He is thoughtful, honest, and does exactly what I ask of him. The color has never looked better. He does not push products on me, which is a big deal to me. In addition, Teresa is the best waxer I have used, and I have lived in many big cities. She is fast, thorough, and kind. Not a hair in sight! Also, the front desk staff is always courteous, professional, and accurate, unlike many other salons I have visited in EP ( I won't mention any names but my experience with the aesthetician and front desk at a place that rhymes with tarragon's was terrible). West End is a top notch place and will not drain your bank account. Highly recommend.

PS- I was there when hershe got her cut and she was incredibly rude to the stylist and I thought her hair looked cute. I did not see the pix, granted, but she could have gotten her haircut comped with a lot less rude behavior...

SCISSOR HAPPY BUTCHER LUCIA- SCARY

What a butchered cut I got by Lucia ! I let my hair grow out a bit, so I could get a texturized hair cut, which is how I booked the appointment! Can you give me a stylist who can give a good texturized cut ! I took 3 pictures to show her, including the one in my cell phone of me with the same hair cut I was requesting . Picture a shorter version of Paula Deens hair .... flippy & texturized ! When the butcher Lucia was done I had hair approximately 1" in length in the back, and the sides were cut up to my ears similiar to ole' sasson look ! HORROR was what I saw. I am a 60 + female who hasn't had my hair this short in 20 years, for a reason. I color my hair blonde, because underneath it is snow white, so now with this awful short ugly hair cut my hair will need to be colored more often so the "white" doesn't show through !!!! .. I don't look good in short hair, I don't like showing my ears, and I especially HATE my hair when it doesn't frame my face, or have a little volume in it....hence the request for the texturized cut ! And isn't that what the professionals tell you ? over 60, You need volume and a cut framed around the face, with texturized layered cut ? WELL the final results were that I broke down crying in the chair and LUCIA the butcher remarks were, along with her smirk, it looks just like the picture that you showed me. Monica came over to assist, and made some comments that supported Lucia. THEN Lucia told Monica that her next appointment was here and that she wanted me out of her hair, because her next appointment was a very good client !! So I did not pay for this horrible ugly butchered unprofessional cut from the butcher and so now I have to go and face my friends and family with the worse hair cut I have ever had! I would like to support the comments that blondiescsu made about this salon in an earlier experience! Obviously, hair will grow, and your hair is not what makes you beautiful, but a horrible salon experience, from the scissor happy butcher LUCIA will linger with me for some time as I wait for my hair to grow back and the lack of empathy from the owner and the butcher LUCIA will stay with me ! I have never been treated so coldly, obviously they don't want folks like me back !

Dale is great!

I love Dale. He speaks English, he is funny, and he knows what he is doing. He convinced me to get extensions, and they look very natural. The parking is a bit tight, so leave your house a bit early. Thank goodness for the parking garage that recently opened in the neighborhood!

I loved my hair!!

I love the way Lucia does my hair!! ... I recently moved from New York to El Paso and I hadn't been able to find the right hair salon, I've always used AVEDA products so I tried Foliage first and was not satisfied. I then later got recommended to West End. Lucia was my stylist and I have been going with her since, I love the way she cuts and colors my hair I recommended her to my coworker and we both love her! I'm so happy to have found a good hair salon, Lucia is very nice and professional the salon is chic and they also have a spa. Parking can be a headache sometimes but overall I'm very pleased with everything!
